Stop the Shivering
April 2009, BUB started a "Stop the Shivering" Campaign
Stop the Shivering ensures that dogs that need extra protection from the elements can get it. Facebook is central to our Stop the Shivering campaign.
For every 20 people that "like" BUB on Facebook, a worthy rescue/shelter receives coats from BUB. It's that simple.
Since Facebook is a viral marketing tool, BUB hopes to spread the word about the needs of short-haired and shaved rescue dogs and simultaneously raise awaresness that "real dogs do wear coats."
Below is a list and description of the rescues where we are currently donating. Please use the form to the left "Suggest a Rescue," if you have a rescue you feel could benefit from our coat donations, and would be open to receiving the donation.
"I wasn't surprised to read, on their site, that BUB supports shelters. Lots of pet-focused companies do (thank goodness!). I WAS surprised when I got an immediate response to my request for a donation to our no-kill Shelter in Long Beach, Washington. Not many companies respond at all, let alone so quickly and with a personal email written by a real person. When I received a HUGE box of coats, I was practically in tears. They made such a difference for our dogs and inspired me to do more networking for our Shelter. I don't know how many people I've referred have purchased BUB coats, but I absolutely refer everyone I know. The coats are great - that goes without saying.
